Neat message Amber. I didn't have time to watch all of it, but I watched nearly 30 minutes and I think I got the idea. Very timely. Very good. Darcie and I were just talking about something similar on Monday.
The thing that is my continual struggle is keeping my motivation in check. You see, when I follow the "rules" of Christianity for the sake of looking or being "good" in God's or other Christian's eyes, I am pursuing holiness with the wrong motivation. I cannot be holy on my own. It is only because of Christ that God sees me as holy. When I really grasp this, I become motivated by the love and grace that I have experienced. My actions then become a response to that grace. I think that is where the true happiness in Christianity is found. Not in abiding by the rules to achieve holiness, but in allowing the grace we have experienced to motivate us to live holy lives worthy of that grace. And I agree with that pastor, if the grace we have doesn't motivate us to live worthy lives, we have not really experienced that grace.
Sorry for my book of thoughts. They may or may not make sense to anyone but me.
Paul Washer preaches by the Jezebel spirit. People who have walked with God and have gone through tribulation to be born again know this. I testify with a clear conscience that Paul Washer is a false teacher. Stay away from him unless you want to go down a wide road to destruction. God loves you
